22nd Amendment in Jay's Favor
Legitimacy for the Jay Leno for President campaign was recently bolstered by the most hallowed of American ideals, the U.S. Constitution.
Campaign researchers were excited to discover that the of 22nd Amendent of the U.S. Constitution supports Jay's campaign perfectly. This finding lends additional credence and believability to the notion of a comedian actually attaining the Oval Office.
As Jay has proven more than once in his "Jaywalking" segment of The Tonight Show, most people are completly unfamiliar with the Constitution, and even less so with its amendments. That fact makes this latest development even more important to voters.
"Most Americans get their information from Jay Leno's correct responses to the questions he asks passers-by during Jaywalking," commented Jay Leno for President campaign manager, Howard Lester. "Those very same people will be thrilled to know that the 22nd Amendment will make it even easier for them to vote for Jay Leno for president."
The 22nd Amendment states: "No person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." That's good news for Jay supporters. A recent Google search conducted by campaign officials indicated that the congenial and patriotic host of The Tonight Show has not been president before.
Jay's presidential challengers are busy spewing their worn-out rhetoric about overly devisive issues on the voting public. The Jay Leno for President campaign is focusing on American values that unite all Americans, like the U.S. Constitution. Whenever Jay finally finds out about this campaign and climbs aboard its massive locamotive of support, we expect he'll hold fast and true to those values during his ride into the White House.
